“Everything to Love About Toronto” on Thrillist’s Love This City Podcast

I never miss the chance to put my eyes on my hometown, so when Thrillist, in partnership with Chase Marriott Bonvoy, reached out to ask if I’d want to share my passion for Toronto on the Love This City podcast, I was only too happy to oblige.

It started off with a chat to get a bit more information about the project, which ultimately became the basis for the article that’s up on Thrillist now, “Travel Blogger Christopher Mitchell Loves That Toronto Is Buzzing Again.” It was just as things were beginning to get moving again in Toronto, and I was filled with gratitude.

The second part was the podcast recording itself. Here’s a description of the podcast, by the way.

“Love This City by Thrillist is a brand new travel podcast where locals help their hometowns shine. Each episode is filled with talk of culture, attractions, activities, myth-busting, and of course, food and drink — with good banter, emotion you can hear, and gamified elements that convey the excitement we all have for traveling to new destinations. Equal parts serviceable and entertaining, Love This City will have you wanting to plan your next trip by the end of each episode.”

I was first up, talking about Toronto! Here’s a description of our episode:

“Thrillist is all about discovering hidden gems when traveling, and in our brand-new podcast, “Love This City,” brought to you by The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Card from Chase, we’re turning to locals to get the scoop on what makes their hometowns unique. In this premiere episode, host Ellie Lee talks with Toronto blogger Christopher Mitchell about the diversity of Toronto’s population and food, the best getaway within city limits, and his favorite place to enjoy some of the city’s 10 million trees. Don’t forget to subscribe and share with your travel buddies!”

I’ll link to the episode below, but I want to first give an enormous thank you to Ellie Lee for being a great host for the episode. It was fantastic teaming up with her on this project, as well as Thrillist and Chase Marriott Bonvoy.
